Maritime Operations Manager

As a Maritime Operations Manager, your job will be to oversee the day-to-day organization and operations of ships. Your job will involve scheduling, preparing travel orders and following up with clients.
You will play a key role in the operational activities relating to the transportation of goods. This will include communicating the arrival and departure of ships and helping to prepare cargo loading timetables, among other tasks.
A fundamental part of your job is staying in contact with various industry players including ports, ships and their crews, Stevedores, Administrators and even Safety Officials.

For this position, it’s not necessary to have spent time at sea but it is certainly a bonus. However, a lack of experience at sea can be compensated by qualifications in management, logistics or other related fields.
